All Souls Day Mass
Monday, November 2, is All Souls Day. All are welcome to St. Matthais. All will be in our parish’s prayers and thoughts and hearts. Please invite anyone (including those of other faiths or none) who may benefit by participating in this Liturgy of memory. Bring others for support and friendship. Mass is at 7pm. A table for photographs will be in the aisle. Following our All Souls Mass everyone is invited to stay and chat.
Transfiguration is offering a special opportunity to pray for our departed loved ones. As has been the custom for many years, we will have a book for you to write down the names of ANY deceased loved ones and friends throughout the month of November. However, we invite any parishioners, neighbors or friends who have lost a loved one in the past year to gather for a special Mass of Remembrance on:
Monday, November 2, 2009—6:00 p.m.
We will have a mass at 6:00 pm and will read the names of those who have passed away during the pass year. Please call the rectory with the names of those to be remembered and please bring a picture of those to be remembered to the Mass. May our loved ones rest in peace of Christ.

Lincoln Square Christkindl Market
Save the Date! December 4, 5 & 6, 2009 (Lincoln and Leland)
They say that the day after the Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade the team that plans the parade is hard at work planning the next year. That is what it felt like two days after the wine auction when the core group for the Christkindl Market met to discuss this year’s event. More information will be coming in the bulletin but I’d like the entire Parish and School to save the dates of December 4, 5 & 6 for this year Lincoln Square Christkindl Market.
There are numerous ways that anyone and everyone can help make this event become a signature event that is both fun and financially sound for the Lincoln Square Community and St. Matthias Church and School. Look in the bulletin each week or check out both the Church web site and the event web site at lincolnsquareck.com.
