JUSTICE DAY 2009
"TODAY’S ECONOMY IN THE CONTEXT
OF CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING"
The fifth annual Justice Day is sponsored by the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). How does the U.S. economy work? How does it affect middle and low-income families? Keynote speakers are Professor Marc Hayford, chair of the Department of Economics at Loyola University Chicago, and Dr. James Burke, Associate Professor of Theology at Lewis University and a secular Franciscan.
Justice Day includes: reflection, Mass, discovery, dialogue, networking, lunch, CCHD-funded community organizations that create and promote economic development opportunities in low-income neighborhoods.
