JOIN US TO CELEBRATE THE DIVERSITY OF OUR SCHOOL AND PARISHES
What is GlobalFest? Over the school year, our children study a country, learning about the geography and culture. On Saturday, May 16, the school hosts an open house/family festival showcasing what they have learned, honoring the ethnic diversity of our school and Lincoln Square community. The event kicks off with a multicultural 5 pm Mass at St. Matthias Church. From 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, tour the school and enjoy an international buffet including food from Japan, Russia, France, the Philippines, Italy, Madagascar, Costa Rica and Mexico. There will also be a tented beer garden, silent auction, raffle, and song and dance performances by the children. At 8:15 pm, enjoy live rock music from the band Woogie. Wristbands are $12 adult/$6 child in advance and $15 adult/$12 child at the door and may be purchased at the rectories or the school. All proceeds benefit St. Matthias Transfiguration School.
