CATECHETICAL SUNDAY
This Sunday, September 28th at the 9:30 AM Mass at Transfiguration, there will be a special commissioning for all those who are involved in catechesis in our parishes. This includes all those who teach in some capacity in our school or parish. We will be recognizing Catechists from our CCD program, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, SPRED and our school teachers. We invite you to join us!
Counseling Available at St. Matthias
The Holbrook Counseling Center of Catholic Charities provides therapy services at St. Matthias Parish with Linda Volino, LCSW. Ms. Volino is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is bilingual (English & Spanish) and has worked with individuals, couples and families for over 25 years. She looks forward to assisting people at St. Matthias. Whether you’re having problems with personal relationships, work situations or are just feeling unhappy or unfulfilled, we’re here for you. PET BLESSING
Our annual pet blessing will take place on Saturday, October 4th in honor of the Feast of St. Francis. We invite everyone and their pets to join us on the front steps of St. Matthias at 8:30 AM. We will process to Giddings Plaza in Lincoln Square for the blessing.
LIVING ROSARY
October is the month of the Rosary. Come and join us in our Living Rosary sponsored by the Vigil Adorers Group on Sunday, October 5th, at 2:00 pm at Transfiguration. The Living Rosary will be followed by a mass. Father John J. Rudnik is the Main Celebrant. Reception will follow in the Church Hall. Everyone is welcome!!!!
